“We live in a culture that discourages us
from paying attention to the soul or the true self
and when we fail to pay attention,
we end up living soulless lives.”

Mary Oliver

Spiritual Companioning is the rediscovery of an ancient tradition of Spiritual Mentoring.  It offers individuals a way out of the Spiritual poverty and barrenness that are by-products of our modern world of individualism and autonomy.

Spiritual Companioning has as its focus a person’s experience of the Divine or his/her hunger to connect with Mystery.  Sometimes referred to as Spiritual Guidance or Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Companioning is an on-going relationship in which one person, desirous of being attentive to his/her Spiritual life, meets with another person (the Spiritual Companion) on a regular basis, specifically for the purpose of becoming more attuned to Divine Presence or Mystery in his/her life and discovering ways to respond more fully to that Presence.
