Chaplain Garcia was assigned to
Kennewick General Hospital in the mid-summer of 2001. As chaplain he
visits every department of the hospital on a daily basis, providing
spiritual care to patients and their families and communicating his
availability to staff. His ministry skills, his relational style,
along with his fluency in Spanish, have made him a valued member of
the team.
Rev. Jose’ Garcia
is an ordained United Methodist Minister and a Certified Mentor for
Ministerial Candidates within his denomination. He has a Master of
Divinity Degree and is Board Certified with the Association for
Professional Chaplains. Chaplain Garcia has also served as a Local
Pastor, Detention Chaplain, and Hospice Chaplain. He is a graduate
of The Art of Spiritual Discernment at Sacred Art of Living Center
for Spiritual Formation in Bend, Oregon. Jose’s ministry skills,
relational style, and fluency in Spanish are gifts he brings to the
art of Spiritual Companioning. Jose’s passion for Spiritual
Direction grew out of desire to learn more about his personal
mystical experiences, which led him to reconnect with Iberian
Mysticism and Hispanic Spirituality both part of his ancestry.
