Kadlec Medical Center in July of 2006. He joined The
Chaplaincy in August, 2005, following completion of a summer internship at Kadlec Medical Center. He endeavors to be a listening,

seek meaning and purpose in the face of illness. Tom draws on more

ordained minister at schools and local churches in Japan (16 years) and
America. He has a masters degree in religion, top level certificates in the
Japanese language, and additional graduate work in counseling and education.
As a healthcare chaplain, Tom now seeks to translate his
cross-cultural background into attentiveness toward the needs, wishes, and
choices of patients, families, helping each person access resources for
managing emotional and spiritual pain. Tom was ordained to ministry in 1984
by the Japan Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
